Hello everyone!
I am so sorry for my lack of blogging these past couple of months as I have been very busy with college. College life is exciting yet extremely time consuming! I have been keeping up with my classes as well as my sorority life commitments. It has all been so rewarding lately though! I am home for Thanksgiving break currently and I thought that since I have some time to relax it would be fun to start blogging again.
I am very excited that I have finally made some set plans in my life. I just changed to an elementary education major and I couldn't be more excited to explore my future career! I also signed a lease to live in my sorority house next year and I am extremely excited to live with 9 of my sisters!
I am super excited for some things coming up in the near future as I also have 3 weeks left of my fall semester here at school. I can't wait for the holidays and I am so happy that they have officially started! I went Black Friday shopping with my mom, cousin and aunt and I got so many good deals I can't wait for Cyber Monday tomorrow! Anyways, I will be hopefully continuing to blog more throughout the next couple of weeks.

Life updates and such
Hello everyone!
I am so sorry for the lack of blogging lately, as I have been focusing on school and homework and such. I moved into SCSU about three weeks ago, and I absolutely love my new home here! The people are extremely nice and friendly, I've already made some really good friends here... I may have even met a cute boy.
I love my classes, and I love that I know at least one person in each one. My roommate is a sweetheart, and we get along super well and I love our late night talks together. I actually even met one of my best/closest friends here already through the band, and joining band was honestly the best decision in my entire life. It introduces you to so many new people that you'd probably never meet otherwise, and they are extremely friendly too. I love seeing band members around campus because they'll smile or wave at me every time, even if I don't really know them either.
We have our first football game halftime show that we perform in tomorrow and I am extremely excited but nervous at the same time. And then, I am coming home on Friday! I cannot wait to see all of my family and a few friends too. It's so weird not knowing anyone here from school, but at the same time I really like it because I am still keeping in touch with some of my really good friends from high school.
Just wanted to keep you all updated on my first couple weeks of college!

It's been a while...
Have you ever just felt that you are in the right place at the right time?
I can already tell that college is going to be the BEST four years of my life. I have only been here for a week, and let me tell you, I love it so much here! It feels a lot more like home than my hometown ever did. Of course there are times when I miss my friends and family back home, but if I don't think about it isn't bad at all. I just know that I am supposed to be here, seriously.
Band camp was actually amazing, I already feel like I'm a part of a new family, which is such an amazing feeling to be honest. Every time that I see a band member around campus, they'll wave at me and smile and I immediately feel at home.
My classes started today, and they were actually really great. My morning started off right which made the rest of my day amazing. One of my new friends and I stopped at Starbucks before our first class which was Biology 101, and it had 100 people in the class...
The next best part of my day was when I was waiting in the hallway for my English class to start and the cute boy from band walks up to me and we just started chatting, and he asked if he could sit with me since he and I didn't know anyone else in the class, which of course made me very, very happy.
After a long day of classes, I came back to my dorm and my roommate said there was a present from her on my desk. Sitting on my desk was a Harry Potter coloring book that I have literally always wanted! There was also a note saying "I heard you say you wanted this so I picked it up for you." It's just the little things like that that really make your day.
So, with all that being said I can't wait for classes tomorrow!

New beginnings
Hello everyone!
Today's been just a bit bittersweet and nostalgic. It blows my mind that I move in to my dorm room tomorrow and classes also start a week from tomorrow! I am extremely excited to be starting my new life in just a couple of hours! Yes I am very nervous as well, but I only really get nervous when I think about it, if that makes sense.
Yesterday I had a wonderful day with my family, it was nice to see everyone again and have them over for lunch.
Today my sister and I went to Starbucks this morning to start our days off with some coffee, of course, it's a necessity. After that, I packed a little more (I'm almost done!) and then my mom and I went to work out at the gym together, which was nice since we never get to go together anymore. Tonight I am getting dinner at Applebee's (my favorite) with my family for one last time.
Yes I will miss my family and best friends dearly but I am very, very excited for all that is to come this year and to finally be living on my own and exploring who I really am.

A little nostalgic...
Today I've honestly just been feeling a bit nostalgic, as I am heading off to college on Monday I am enjoying my last couple of days at home with my friends and family. This past week has seriously flown by, I can't believe that I only have two days left until I move. As nervous as I am, I am also extremely excited. I'm excited to start over, seriously. I'll be going to a school where I only know five other people from my high school going there, and it's an hour and a half away from home, which isn't too bad.
Anyways, I've had a really great past couple of days with my friends and family.
On Wednesday, my best friend and I spent our last day together sadly, but I had an amazing time as I mentioned in my previous blog post. Yesterday, I got to spend some time with my sister for once which was really nice. I packed, and relaxed of course.
Tonight is my last night out with my friends, and I'm kind of sad to be honest. My friends and I are all getting together for one last time and having a nice dinner at Osaka, which I am very excited about because I love hibachi! And spending time with them of course. Tomorrow, my cousins, aunt, and grandparents are coming up for one last family dinner/get together and I'm super excited to see all of them for one last time.
With all that being said I am just very excited for new beginnings that are on their way.

The Best Day
Have you ever just had such a good day where absolutely nothing goes wrong and you just want to tell everyone about it? Well, that's exactly how my day went yesterday.
To start my day off, I got to sleep in pretty late for once and actually got a decent night of sleep. I'd say I woke up around about 9:30 or 10. Some would say that's too early, but to me it isn't. I have kind of had trouble sleeping lately so it was nice to actually have a good night's sleep last night. Anyways, after I had woken up and got ready and all, my mom and I headed out the door and went to go get our hair done together. Mine turned out super cute! I just got all of my split ends off (finally) and my eye brows waxed, and let me tell you they turned out amazing! One of my favorite things is when you have a nice lady that does your hair for you.
Anyways, after getting my hair and eyebrows done, I went back home and had a decent lunch before relaxing for a few hours. In the meantime, I started a new show on Netflix called "The Secret Life of The American Teenager", I'm sure you've all heard of it. I'm already addicted!
After relaxing for a while, I went to go pick up one of my best friends, Sara, for a girls day together since it would be one of our lasts. We decided to go and see the movie "Bad Mom's", and it was SO much better than I thought it would be! Seriously I highly recommend seeing it. Anyways, after seeing that, Sara and I went to Buca Di Beppo for dinner, and it was seriously amazing!

Oh how time flies by...
Hello everyone!
Long time no talk, I know, I know. And I apologize, I do. But as a teenage girl that is moving into college next week, my summer has suddenly been extremely busy. Let's get a little bit caught up with each other.
First of all, I just thought I should let you all know that this coming Monday, I will be moving in to my dorm room! I will be attending St. Cloud State in central Minnesota, for (hopefully) the next four years. I plan on getting my bachelor's degree with a major in Spanish education, and hopefully a minor in special ed if all goes well. I am very excited for this journey to begin, as you can tell! I will also be rushing this coming September, which I am also very excited about!
Anyways, this past weekend I was up north near Duluth with my family for one last family vacation. And before we left, I had my last day of work (for a while at least). It's honestly so crazy to think about how quickly time really does fly by.
This week, I will be packing up to start my new adventure at St. Cloud State. I am very excited to blog all about my college life/experience within the coming days, weeks, and month! Very excited things to come, stay tuned. Until next time.

Where Have I Been?
Hello everyone!
I'm so sorry for the long delay of blogposts, but I have finally decided to start blogging more now! Yesterday, I did some college shopping with my dad and bought my very own MacBook Air! I love it so much! It was of course very expensive but I knew I have always wanted one for college so I finally decided to splurge and use some of my graduation money for it. It's definitely worth it! The quality on here is so amazing, I still can't get over it. Anyways, I have just been very busy with hanging out with my boyfriend and family since I will miss them the most next year. I also did the Color Run this past weekend with my mom which was a ton of fun too! I'm super excited for college to start! I am very much looking forward to the classes that I am taking this year. I also plan on being in the pep band at my University and joining a sorority too! I can't wait to be a part of Greek life! I plan on going shopping pretty soon for all of my dorm stuff that I have yet to get, so I will definitely be doing a blog post on that in the near future. I already have my bed spread and let me tell you it is super cute! I just about died when I saw it. I'm going for a bohemian/elephant theme this year and I couldn't be any more excited! In general I'm very excited for this coming fall. I'll keep you all updated soon!

Graduation
Hello everyone!
I'm so sorry that I have been MIA for quite a while, but I am finally on summer break and I have a ton of time to blog! Recently, I got a boyfriend, so that's been taking up most of my time these days but he's great so it's worth it. Another big thing that's happened in my life is I graduated high school! I feel like I can finally get my life started now. Today actually marks 60 days until I move in to college! It's so crazy it doesn't even seem real. I also had my grad party yesterday which was a huge success! Lots of friends and family came that I wasn't expecting to and it made me incredibly happy to see everyone that came. Workout From Home!
Hello everyone!
I hope you all are doing well today, I know I definitely am! Today I want to talk about something that I don't normally talk about, which is fitness! I myself am definitely not very athletic, but I do try to be active and work out when I can/want to. A typical workout at the gym for me usually consists of 15 minutes of eliptical, 15 minutes running, and 10 minutes rowing. I like to end my cardio work out with rowing, because I usually go into weight lifting after for a good 20-30 or so minutes. However, I do know that not a lot of people have access to going to the gym, so I thought I'd share with you all a quick, somewhat easy work out you can do just at home! Liquid Lipstick Obsession
Hello everyone!
Recently, I spent the day with my cousin and it was so nice catching up with her again and hearing all about her busy life as a college student! I need to tell you all about my new obsession thanks to her, which is the Kylie Jenner lip kits! I am absolutely DYING to get my hands on one once she relaunches them at the end of this week. I have been absolutely loving getting into makeup lately, and now seeing the Kylie lip kits I can't wait even more! I know however that the lip kits are a bit pricey for some people, as they do retail at 29.99. A Life Update
Hello everyone!
I thought today I would just give you all a little life update, since I am finally back on my blogging game, and I have been loving that! Anyways, as many of you know I am currently a senior in high school, and I graduate in 45 days and I could not be any more excited! I will be attending St. Cloud State University this coming fall in central Minnesota, and I plan on majoring in Spanish education while I am there. I would love to study abroad one day, I think that would be the coolest thing ever! I am also currently working at Noodles and Company, and I love it so much! I love the people there and even better, I get free food and the pay is super good! Another thing most people don't know about me is that I am a planner addict! I love decorating my planner and I love the planner community so much, it's such a fun hobby to have! Don't get me wrong though, it's super expensive and that's where most of my money ends up going. Well, that's pretty much all I have to say about myself. If you'd like to see more of my daily life, just follow me on my social media if you'd like! Xoxo, Kersten.

Destination: Mexico
Hello everyone!
As you all may know, spring break is upon us! I can't believe it's already next weekend! This week, I will probably only be able to think about laying on the beach and sipping a Margarita or a Pina Colada while reading a good book. Ah, I am SO excited! I can't believe that it's already only a week a way, I have been waiting for this for months! So, since it is finally almost here, I thought I would tell you all where I am going to be this next coming week... I will be in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico! I am SO excited! My family and I have already been there twice before, and I seriously cannot wait. It will be a hectic week for sure, I am finishing shopping because I don't have too many summer clothes yet. My 18th Birthday Celebration
Hello everyone!
As some of you may know, my birthday is today! I finally turned 18! I had an amazing weekend celebrating with my friends and family and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday! So let me tell you about it all...
Yesterday morning, a friend of mine and I went downtown to Minneapolis to the cutest waffle place called Black: Coffee and Waffle Bar and if you live in the area I definitely recommend it! However, a little disclaimer I might add, Julie and I had to wait an hour for our waffles to finally come... They were definitely worth it though! We both got the strawberry cheesecake waffle and it was amazing. After breakfast, we went to the cutest store called Charming Charlie's in downtown St. Paul! I got a new watched that I am absolutely obsessed with.
Later on Saturday night, I hung out with another friend of mine, Sara, and we decided to go to dinner at Five Guys because I had never been there before but let me tell you it was delicious. If you haven't been there before, I highly recommend it! Anyways, after we had dinner we went to see the movie Room, and I thought it was a super good movie, I really enjoyed it myself.
This morning when I woke up, my dad and I went to the casino because that is what I wanted to do as part of my birthday present, despite the fact that I only won 6 dollars. But it was a ton of fun and I can't wait to go back again!
After we went to the casino, my aunt, uncle and cousin picked me up and took me to Starbucks and we sat there for a little while just catching up on life, which was super nice. After we went to Starbucks, we headed back to my house and my grandma and grandpa came over to visit because my grandma had made me a birthday cake, which was delicious!
Later when everyone had left, my family and I went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant and it was so good! Now I'm just relaxing, and waiting to go to the gym later with my mom.
I had an amazing 18th birthday, thank you so much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday and everyone that was a part of my amazing weekend!

Future Husky
Hello everyone!
I can't believe I am saying this myself but, I am going to college! I couldn't be anymore excited than I already am. It is scary at the same time, though. However, I definitely am ready for a change and I can't wait to start living on my own. I am pleased to announce that I will be attending St. Cloud State University in the fall of 2016! I am beyond excited, and it makes me even more excited that I already know my major. I plan on majoring in Spanish education with a minor in either English or teaching, I haven't decided yet. I am so excited though! I plan on probably studying abroad during my sophomore or junior year and I couldn't be any more excited. I can't wait to be a future Husky next year!

A haunted house?
Hello everyone!
I had the best day that I've had in a while to be completely honest with you. My sister and I decided to go on an adventure, and that was definitely the best decision! First, we decided to stop at McDonald's to get an iced coffee and I can easily say that they have the best iced coffee ever. Then, we didn't really have a plan in mind after that, so we just went down to the cities and people watched for a while, which was actually pretty fun. After our mini road trip to the cities, we picked up a couple of friends and went to an abandoned barn! It was actually so cool, I've never been to one before and I've always wanted to go so it was definitely something I'll never forget! If you ever have the chance, I highly recommend taking an adventure day and possibly visiting some abandoned houses. Be careful of trespassing though! Xoxo, Kersten.

The Herringbone Vest

Recently, I have been loving getting back into blogging. I have honestly been loving looking at a ton
of fashion blogs recently and just getting inspired from them! So I thought that at least once a week, I would share a current fashion favorite of mine just because I have so many of them! This week, I have been really loving the Herringbone Vest and I have been really eyeing it up, I might treat myself at the end of the week when I get paid, because who doesn't love a little bit of retail therapy?
